Artist Statement
My name is Richie Gov and I am a Toy Designer with a minor in Entrepreneurship I will be graduating from Otis College of Art and Design in May 2022. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Art in Toy Design allows me to specialize in conceptualizing aspects of visual communication for toys. Through my experience in the rigorous program, I have freelanced for the school on several toy painting projects as well as served as a guest instructor for the Design Prototype I class. My professional background was also developed through two design internships over the past 4 years. I am experienced in all aspects of market research, sketching, sculpting, rendering, and prototype painting using industry-standard equipment and software. I am a designer that uses storytelling to further develop features in toys to attract the consumer focus.
